Podiatry Professionals are ever progressing, and we are looking for one or two full time or part time energetic podiatrists for a diverse role with a detailed biomechanical focus, amongst a friendly team of Sports Podiatrists. The job will be balanced with other podiatry areas of interest within a motivated and vibrant private practice which has an established referral base from surrounding medical centres, sports physicians, physiotherapists, Department of Defence and orthopaedic surgeons.
We have a range of locations with our main, sports focused clinics in the heart of the city (Braddon) which we have combined with our other dedicated passion, The Canberra Heel Pain Institute. This is a clinic directly focusing on managing heel pain that includes a team of podiatrists, sports doctor, physiotherapist, orthopaedic surgeon, footwear retail and imaging all combining to provide the most up to date and broad treatment centre for heel pain. We have also recently established a ‘Sports Podiatry specific clinic’ next door to our Braddon rooms which is equipped state of the art equipment including force measurement treadmills for dedicated MSK assessments.

The successful podiatrist(s) will see a broad range of patients promoting progression and the opportunity to develop themselves in areas of interest such as sports podiatry and treating elite athletes, paediatrics, biomechanics/orthotic therapy, MSK treatment plans, modern treatment modalities, diabetes and nail surgeries.
Our clinics have a sharp focus on biomechanics and sports podiatry which accommodates for 70-75% of our patient load. We have a unique range of orthotics including our own in house prefabricated/semi-custom and custom range. We have been heavily involved in treating Australian Defence Force members for 13 years now and we treat a large number of ADF personal each week. The successful applicant will be up skilled and specifically involved in treating these members.
For those that are interested in taking their careers further or those who have detailed experience, there is potential to get involved with the growth and development of the practice. High end salary plus a very healthy incentive bonus and education bonus is our common remuneration and dependent on the podiatrist’s experience and knowledge. Salary paid well above the award with the view to increase in line with performance and remuneration is only limited by the applicant’s ability and motivation!
The applicant’s time can be shared amongst either of the practice locations with the scope to tailor the role pending clinical focus. Time and detailed mentoring is allocated for CPD and regular in house professional development on a weekly basis. Each of our team members have half a day off per week for personal time!
The applicant will also be supported with the team's two podiatry assistants to complete all sterilisation and help with podiatry related tasks including orthotic refurbs, nail surgeries and some treatments. Additionally, the clinic's virtual assistant is available to assist with all administration tasks, report writing and professional communication.
